I am a former photojournalist turned landscape and nature photographer, and I also work as an elementary school teacher.
I've photographed special projects for several national parks, including the biological sky islands in Yosemite, caves in Sequoia National Park, and three BioBlitz surveys in Great Basin National Park. I’ve also done contract work for the Bureau of Land Management and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, documenting endangered and threatened species.
In 2017, I was selected as the first artist-in-residence for the Sierra Foothill Conservancy, documenting their preserves and conservation easements over a year in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The images I made were used in a fundraising exhibit for the conservancy.
In 2018, I was recruited by the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust for another local year-long artist-in-residency, documenting protected properties along the San Joaquin River in California’s great Central Valley.
This embarked me on my national park residency journey:
2018: Artist-in-Residence, Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, North Central Wyoming.
2019: First Photographer Artist-in-Residence, Craters of the Moon National Monument, South Central Idaho.
2021: Night Sky Artist, Capitol Reef National Park, Utah.
2023: Artist-in-Residence, Petrified Forest National Park, Northeastern Arizona.
I’ve had the privilege of having my work purchased for display at several local businesses in Fresno, CA, including ARC Property Management, Valley Children’s Hospital, and Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group.
